The Bible Recap (TBR) follows a chronological Bible reading plan and is a short daily recap by creator and host, Tara-Leigh Cobble. She’ll highlight and summarize that day’s Bible reading in a casual, easy to understand way.
The Bible Recap comes in several forms—book, podcast, or video. Each day’s Bible reading is about 12 minutes long and each recap is about 8 minutes long (or 2 pages in the book).
Pastor Kendra will lead a WhatsApp group to discuss each day's reading. The daily plan is available for free through the YouVersion Bible app. Purchasing the guide is not required, but there are books, journals, and Bibles available for purchase through various retailers. Preview copies are available at the info desk for you to flip through before you decide.

What people at Gateway have to say about Bible Recap:
I use the Bible Recap every day on my drive to work. I read my Bible at home, while I drink my coffee, then listen the the recap on the drive. This way the first 30-45 min of my morning is reading/listening to the word of God. I have learned so much while going through the recap. I enjoy it so much, that i can't wait to start it again. And I'm not even finished. I have told multiple people about it, and would encourage anyone to start.
The Bible Recap also has a kids devotional that parallels the adult one which I use with my kids. It has a couple short verses to read along with a summary of the main points and a little activity for the day. It helps them see Jesus in the OT and create meaning of the bigger story.
I love the Bible Recap because it offers multimodal ways of engaging (podcast, devotional, readings). It offers a historical contextual perspective of the bible while continuously pointing to Jesus and weaving His threads throughout. In doing this, the Bible Recap is not set up to read the bible cover to cover, but parallels similar chapters for the daily readings in context like Kings and a psalm or the Gospels to create a story - the story of our God and how he appears in it all!
I have used it this year and have really enjoyed it. I have read through the Bible a few times over the years and this has been my best experience. I like that the format is somewhat chronological. I generally read the scripture for the day and answer the questions in the book. I sometimes watch Tara Leigh but not all the time because I just don't have the time. I would keep a computer close because they often ask you to look words up in a Hebrew lexicon and they are easy to find by simply googling them.
