This annual Spring Food Drive is a prayerfully considered, Spirit-led initiative to bless the community and connect with both our church family and our neighbors.

Each year we gather safely to do our small part of this fun event so that together we can have a BIG impact, helping local food banks within the Haldimand area do its important work.

From this page, you can learn about our Food Drive, interact with our map of Caledonia which is divided into manageable routes, and even sign up a team or individual from our easy-to-use online sign up form below.

Spring Food Drive in a Nutshell

The 2024 Food Pick-up date is

Saturday, May 4

The Caledonia Food Drive is accomplished by teams of 2-6 people covering manageable routes that together make up a mosaic covering the whole town. Teams participate by delivering flyers along their route (without knocking) between Friday, April 26 and Thursday, May 2. Teams then return to their routes to do contactless pick up of donated food on Saturday, May 4 starting at 10am. Volunteers will box the food in their vehicles before returning to the church. Food will then be brought back to the church, where it will be received by a team of volunteers.

It's FUN, EASY and it has a BIG IMPACT!

Check out our interactive map and become familiar with your route. Click on the routes for detailed instructions and to see if they are still available.

What you need to know:

  • There are lots of different ways to serve!

  • SATURDAY MORNING EVENT: Routes will take anywhere from 30-60 minutes to complete with 2-3 walkers and one driver. All the food from one route should fit in a van, SUV or truck.

  • Food will then be sorted into various categories in the church auditorium - even though there's work involved, this is a fun atmosphere to be a part of!

  • All food and donations will go to the Caledonia Food Bank. Donations in excess of what the Caledonia Food Bank can accept will go to neighboring Haldimand food banks.

  • This is a great opportunity for high school students to get volunteer hours.

  • THIS WILL BE LOTS OF FUN!

Matthew 25:35-40 New International Version (NIV)

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
